Growing up amidst picturesque landscapes filled with meadows, hills, trees, and forests, Amei's art style remains deeply rooted in the natural world. Influenced by the Song period Chinese ink paintings, Hiroshige's wood prints, and the vibrant colors of German expressionists, she developed a unique artistic voice. Amei's preferred medium, impressionism, enables her to skillfully capture the dynamic interplay of clouds, waves, leaves, and the ever-changing nuances of light and shadow.

With training from renowned institutions such as the Art Students' League in New York City and the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, Amei's artistic journey led her to embrace plein-air painting, braving the elements to authentically depict the beauty of the outdoors. Using oil paints, she masterfully conveys a sense of versatility, allowing her art to flow and evoke emotions.
