ROBIN JACK SARNER @rjack.art
Robin Jack Sarner was born in Miami, FL and currently lives in Southern California. She studied at Florida Southern College graduating with a BS in Art Education K-12. Her traditional training left her less than satisfied, prompting education focusing on abstract expressionism. A recent SFMOMA postwar abstraction art history course has informed her practice and invigorated her long attraction to mid-century modern artists. Her current work reflects those postwar abstract art characteristics of large canvas, gestural, and mixed media styles.
Robin’s work has been featured in New & Abstract’s February 2023 issue of “Five Things to Ask Robin Jack Sarner,” ArtAtiva - 2022 9th issue of World Wide Art Magazine, and Palos Verdes Art Center 2021 issue “90 People & Programming: PVAC90:Past, Present & Future.” Robin has recently been selected to exhibit in the prestigious Brand 51 Gallery “Works on Paper” show._x0003_She has received the Albert Key Award, reserved for only one art student annually awarded by the Florida Southern College Art Department and remains a member of The Palos Verdes Art Center Pallatteers.
Robin continues to create and present curriculum-based abstract expressionism art projects for local school districts serving over 100,000 children annually, and actively participates in abstract art classes at her local art center. She continues to work from her home studio and exhibit in person nationally and internationally.
